Don’t Be Fooled By The Big Boys!

Having security cost money, nothing is free but is doesn’t have to cost you an arm and a leg to have it done right.Although having some security is better that nothing at all. Having a partial system can give you a false sense of security and leave you vulnerable. In our opinion that is why it’s always best to have a custom system instead of some out of the box or free installation gimmick.

Can you imagine having a system in place, then being burglarized and the system never went off? That can easily happen when your paying for a general install with a high monthly service charge. Its better to pay the upfront cost for a proper system with a low yearly service fee. Below is the cost difference with just a basic system with possible blind spots and uncovered areas.

If you do the math you’ll see.

broadband providers

29.99 per month three-year contract $1079.64 plus small print fees

big-name security companies 49.99 per month two-year contract $1199.76 plus what ever hidden charges and activation fee.

Buy your equipment up front from us or an online store. Basic system Around $250 depending on the brand. Monitoring $8.95 per month($107.40 per year) with a $30 one time activation fee. Labor about $300 depending on the system.

year 1 $687.40

Year 2 $107.40

Total $794.80

Notice the difference after the 1st three years once the equipment is paid for.

broadband Yearly $359.88

Big security Yearly $599.88

Buying your equipment up front Yearly $107.40

Over a five or ten-year period that really starts to add up.

Use the extra savings to properly secure your home minimizing blind spots yet still keeping the low monthly rate.

Also when adding cameras to your system be sure there is some recording of video. Live video only is virtually useless after the incident has occurred. Then same rules applies to camera systems as it does to security systems.. Every scene is not the same so why treat it that way. Get a custom system so you choose the proper lens for the view you want to catch. Maybe some areas require more attention than others, Some areas my need a wide shot and others a tight one. Lighting or lack of it also plays a role in camera selection. Remember Garbage in equals garbage out so make sure your cameras are the best quality possible.
