Our last Blog was about Alternatives to the “Hidden key under the doormat trick”. This week we are going to review one of those option. We recently installed a video doorbell for a client. The doorbell works with your smart phone via wi-fi internet. It allows you to see who’s at your door even when you’re not home. it has a built-in motion sensor that you can choose to activate or not. In active mode a person doesn’t even have to ring the bell, you’ll be notified someone is at your door once they are in range. The video doorbell works with your existing wire, if you don’t have an existing doorbell there is a version that is battery operated as well. This system works well with a wi-fi door lock. Once you’ve confirmed that the right person is at the door you can let them in via you smart phone.
